John 14:5-14 (Dec 5th)
How well do you know your friends? In my previous career working in Manhattan, there were people that I worked with for over 10 years, who I spent many hours with, would socialize with, would laugh with … but I never knew them. I never really knew their heart, their thoughts, their emotions or their fears.
Jesus wants to be in relationship with us, not as a casual acquaintance but as deep life long friends. Unlike my business colleagues we need to be open, honest and real with Jesus for that to happen. To put our trust in Him, and allow Him to see us for who we really are, and in turn for us to see Him for who He truly is … God.
