John 16:5-16 (Dec 13th)
As I read this passage I was struck by the words that Jesus said to the disciples as He prepares them for His departure: “It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you”
How many of us if we were given the chance of either having Jesus Christ sat in front of us, or the Holy Spirit in our hearts would choose the former? Think about it - I find this to be a powerful question. Yet even Jesus knew that the Holy Spirit was vital to us as believers and the world in their denial. So how important is the work of the Holy Spirit to you?
